The couple have not been widely known for constant public displays of affection. At certain events, they have appeared physically reserved or have seemed focused on different things. At other moments, observers have pointed to smiles, conversation, or gestures that they interpret as signs of warmth.
The challenge is that individual photographs and brief video clips capture only a fraction of an interaction. A still image can freeze a person during an awkward second. A short clip can omit what happened before or after the moment shown. Even a genuine disagreement in one setting would not necessarily describe the relationship as a whole.
The same caution applies in the opposite direction. A warm smile at an event cannot prove that a couple never experiences tension. A hand placed on a shoulder cannot reveal the quality of every private conversation. Public gestures are real observations, but their meaning can be difficult to establish.
