Part 1: The Test and the Betrayal

Part 3: The Tables Turn

Within twenty-four hours, Diego’s fragile world completely imploded.
Paula didn't just leave him; she took to social media, posting furious screenshots of their text messages, exposing how he had lied to both of us, and mocking his humiliation for the entire city to see. The fancy restaurant check-ins and smug captions vanished, replaced by public embarrassment.
Meanwhile, my mother-in-law showed up at my doorstep—not with trash bags this time, but with puffy, tear-stained eyes and a trembling voice, begging for forgiveness and claiming she had "been misled."
I didn’t let her past the front porch.
I hired a fierce, no-nonsense family attorney who made sure Diego’s betrayal was fully documented in the divorce proceedings. Because of the financial manipulation, the hidden assets, and the malicious abandonment during a high-risk pregnancy, the court ruled heavily in my favor.
Diego lost the house he had tried to strip from me. He was ordered to pay maximum spousal and child support, and his reputation at his firm took such a massive hit from the public scandal that he was forced to transfer to a distant branch office across the state, living out of a cramped studio apartment while paying for a life he threw away.
