Paris can honor that relationship in her own way, at her own pace, and in the language that feels right to her.
She can remember the man behind the legend without explaining every memory to the world.
And she can continue building a future that acknowledges where she came from without allowing her past to determine everything she will become.
Perhaps that is the most important part of her story: not that she has stopped being Michael Jackson's daughter, but that she is increasingly able to define what being his daughter means to her.
The world may always be interested in the Jackson family. Paris, however, does not have to turn every part of that history into public property.
